Austin LitCrawl 2014

I designed the program/map for 2014 Austin LitCrawl, part of the Texas Book Festival.

LitCrawl is a pub crawl with literary readings at the bars. I’ve been going to the Austin LitCrawl since it started. When I thought about LitCrawl, I thought about the light strings that a lot of bars put up outside, especially the kind with the old-school filaments in the bulbs. The series of circles reminded me of those strings of lights, going from the blue of the evening outside to the yellow glow of the lights. And it also made me think of dots plotting the progress along a map, as people made their way from one place to the next.
