Spare the Birds! George Bird Grinnell and the First Audubon Society

My initial design for this book was pretty elaborate. I based the title page on an image from the book’s photo gallery, the cover of the first Audubon Society magazine. In the end, the press decided they wanted a simpler version with a plainer display font (and they changed the title of the book). The image below is the final title page:
